The Lost Revolution
The Lost Revolution is a blog about music, it is a reach out to friends and music lovers who like to discover new and old things together.
Remember Jack Black from the show Hi-Fidelity? Those days when a music store clerk actually cared about real music, about people doing new things with sounds, trying to be different, trying to be well... revolutionary.
These days you have incessant advertising for barely legal, barely dressed starlets and 'talent shows' churning out exactly the same kinds of pop singers over and over again while the really good music lies hidden, appreciated only by people who actively seek out and support good musicians. And they are getting increasingly harder to find.
Lucky they invented the internet eh.
But hey, I'm no guru, you might even get turned off by my taste in the esoteric or the almost mainstream. Well, I am tired of people giving me a blank look when I mention The Arcade Fire, or when Roxanne and Space Oddity come on the radio no one recognizes it. And no, Clapton isn't famous for being on My Best Friends Wedding OST.
There will be indie rock here, as well as classic rock, classic jazz and maybe even some classical music. Records of old and new, that everyone will give a try and hopefully find it as exciting as I did and start their own journey to look for great music.
